Aren't you glad God doesn't always show you what tomorrow holds?

Instruction #1 - Stay Flexible
  • Be ready to move!
  • Allow God to move us in new directions

  • God may be ready to do something brand new in your life

Instruction #2 - Stay Humble

  • Its not about you.

  • Its always about what God wants to do through you.

Instruction #3 - Stay Patient

  • David spends at least 15 years running from Saul.

  • Patience required that he go against the flow of opinion.

  • Patience required that he not seek revenge.

Instruction #4 - Stay Teachable

- Because he stayed teachable:
  • The cave dweller became a champion.

  • Whining turned to winning.

  • Helplessness became holiness.

  • Loneliness became a longing for God.

  • Running turned into rest

  • Testing resulted in triumph.

  • Laziness - in bed when he should have been in battle

  • Lingering - his glance became a gaze

  • Listening - listened to his passion rather than listening to a person who tried to warn him
2. It doesn't matter what others think . . . only what God thinks.

3. It doesn't matter how you cover up sin . . . there are always consequences.

4. It doesn't matter how bad you've been . . . God's grace can restore you.
