Christian Motorcycle Group Revitalizes the Sebring Camp Crosses

On hilltops all around the country (29 states and the District of Columbia) you have probably seen three crosses standing as a silent witness to Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. A man by the name of Bernard Coffindaffer spent $3,000,000 of his own money through his nonprofit organization, Crosses of Mercy - Cast Thy Bread, Inc., now called Crosses Across America, Inc., to plant 1,864 clusters of these crosses. Several years ago, in the 1980's, Art Speakman arranged for Coffindaffer to plant one of those clusters on the Sebring Campgrounds.

A Christian Motorcycle organization from the Canton, Ohio, area, known as Ring of Iron, has taken on the ministry of helping to maintain the silent witness of the crosses around northeastern Ohio. On Saturday, August 2nd, they offered this ministry to the Lord and to Sebring Camp by painting and straightening the crosses on our grounds (See photos below by Jennifer Nutt).

We want to express our thanks to Ring of Iron for this labor of love, and we encourage everyone to visit the web sites of Crosses Across America and Ring of Iron.
